It might be a bit of a mouthful, but Super Crazy Guitar Maniac Deluxe is one hell of a free game.

Based around the insanely popular Guitar Hero, this takes things to the next difficulty level, with use of cursor keys plus the 1 to 4 keys. That's a lot of fumbling on your keyboard to hit the right notes.

Worthy of a few minutes of your time, The Great Eggscape is a collection of mini games designed to sell Cadbury Cream Eggs (not that they need much selling...) MMMM chocolate!

Providing you with yet more ways to waste those precious moments of your life, Shopping Cart Hero sees you riding a shopping cart down a slope (which is both very silly and dangerous, so don't try this at home, kids). Gain bonus points by performing tricks, which in turn earn you further power ups to go faster.

It's a fun physics game that will provide a distraction from the monotony of the real world for perhaps half an hour.

The Zombie Wars is a great bit of fun. With two modes, loads of weapons and tonnes of stuff to blow up, it's well worthy of a half hour's time wasting.

Another Maze Game - this time a supremely hard one with lots and lots of options...

How to Play: Select the ten items around the sides of the cube in order. They will each impact the cube in some way. Each item in turn interacts differently with each other. Selecting the correct icons in the right order will advance the cube world. When no more moves are available the icons will show you how far through that icon you have progressed (0 is the least).

Note: This is a very hard grow maze game and is not the best introductory game. Check out Grow Tower for that.

This is another of the immensely popular Grow Games. This one sees you administering aid to a sick guy. Can you restore him to full health?

How to Play: Select the six items around the sides of the blue man in order. They will each impact him in some way. Each icon in turn interacts differently with each other but they all will advance the black bar above him (giving him health) at different levels. Selecting icons in the correct order will give the maximum amount of health. When no more moves are available the icons will show you how far through that icon you have progressed (0 is the least).

One of our all time favourite time wasting activities, Desktop Defense shows it's not graphics but playability that makes a great game. Build your base and defend it against the endless hordes of the enemy. But be warned, this game is highly addictive.
